Low pool enclosure – Special – features and uses

Special is a range of pool enclosures and accessories for reducing dirt in the pool, limiting evaporation and retaining more of the heat already in the water. The range has a defined purpose, but your choice must always reflect the pool's actual dimensions and installation site.

When comparing models, consider the internal width, overall length, maximum height, number of sections, rail design and where the enclosure can be retracted. Doors, pool coping, ladders and other protruding parts can affect which size will fit.

Choose the right enclosure for your pool

Measure the pool's maximum external dimensions and check that the surface along the rails is level, stable and long enough. Consult the product sheet for the specific model, as dimensions and design may vary between sizes.

What to check

  • Pool dimensions and construction
  • Capacity, connections and installation space
  • Compatibility with existing equipment
  • Care, servicing and winter care

Installation and routine care

Keep rails and wheels free from gravel, leaves and ice. Check locks and fixings regularly, and always follow the model's instructions for wind, snow and winter care.

Contact Pooltime if you would like help choosing Special. Send your pool dimensions and details of the existing equipment so we can more easily check which solution suits your project.

Special – check the side door, coping and rails

The Special range has a low profile, clear polycarbonate panels and anthracite-coloured profiles. Product names distinguish between sizes and versions with or without coping. Use the individual model's drawing when comparing it with the pool. Water dimensions, the extent of the coping and enclosure rail dimensions are different measurements that must all be compatible.

The side door's position affects access to the pool when the enclosure is closed. Mark the pool steps, ladder and path on a sketch before choosing the door side. Also check where the sections will stand when opened and whether there is room for a rail extension behind the pool.

Prepare the ground surface

The rail base must follow the assembly instructions and provide suitable fixing along its entire length. Account for any level changes in the pool deck or raised coping in your plans. State the model, pool dimensions and desired opening direction when enquiring. Compare more low pool enclosures, and find rails and other additions under pool enclosure accessories.
