Pool ladders – function and benefits

Pool ladders include functional parts that make the pool safe and easy to use. The right component must suit the pool's construction, dimensions and other equipment, so always check compatibility before ordering.

Material and positioning affect both durability and the user experience. Parts near the waterline are exposed to pool chemicals, sunlight and temperature changes, so they must be installed according to the product instructions with the correct seals and fixings.

How to choose the right pool ladder

Compare connections, fitting dimensions, materials and the mounting parts included. When replacing a part, measure the existing component and check its model designation. Small differences in hole pattern or dimensions can determine whether it fits.

Ladders for in-ground or freestanding pools

A ladder for an in-ground pool and one designed to cross the wall of a freestanding pool have different structures. The range includes Welldana EEP with a platform for a pool height of 1.5 metres, as well as Classic MXI and narrower pool ladders. Match the ladder design to the pool's actual height and the edge where it will be fitted.

Check the number of steps, the distance between fixings and how the lower feet sit against the pool wall. The ladder must not obstruct a sliding enclosure or the movement of a cover. Where space around the pool edge is limited, compare the handrail footprint with the drawing too.

Materials and spare parts

Stainless steel comes in different grades. Welldana EEP, for example, is specified as AISI 304 and is not intended for salt water according to the product information. Always check the model's own conditions rather than assuming every stainless steel ladder suits salt chlorination.
