Plastic fittings – function and benefits

Plastic fittings include functional parts that make the pool safe and easy to use. The right component must suit the pool's construction, dimensions and other equipment, so always check compatibility before ordering.

Material and positioning affect both durability and the user experience. Parts near the waterline are exposed to pool chemicals, sunlight and temperature changes, so they must be installed according to the product instructions with the correct seals and fixings.

How to choose the right pool fittings

Compare connections, fitting dimensions, materials and the mounting parts included. When replacing a part, measure the existing component and check its model designation. Small differences in hole pattern or dimensions can determine whether it fits.

ABS inlets and PVC wall fittings for thermopools

This range contains plastic fittings for thermopool walls, including an ABS inlet with double gaskets and a d50 solvent-weld connection, a PVC wall fitting and a wide 15-litre ABS skimmer. They serve different purposes: the wall fitting passes through the wall, the inlet distributes return water and the skimmer collects surface water. Check the entire assembly before ordering.

The finished pool wall thickness and liner position determine the lengths and sealing surfaces required. Allow space for pipe bends behind the wall as well. A component that fits the inside of the pool may still need a different adaptor in the equipment installation. Follow each product's guidance on adhesive, connections and assembly sequence.

Plan before casting and fitting the liner

Set the skimmer height according to the intended waterline and check that its lid can be reached from the pool edge. Position the inlets to suit the pool's circulation design. Photograph the installed wall fittings before they are enclosed; this makes future servicing and spare part selection easier.
