Entire tub with the latest technology
A PP Pool consists of polypropylene, which is a type of plastic that is also approved for drinking water containers. The pool is delivered as a “single-piece shell” to make installation as simple as possible. The plastic is solid-colored throughout and is available in thicknesses of 8 or 12 mm. Since polypropylene is a homogeneous material, scratches will not affect the lifespan of the pool, and the pool cannot develop blistering or osmosis either (as competing one-piece shells such as glasfiberpools can).
The type of polypropylene used in our pools comes from the German company Röchling and has been specially developed for pool manufacturing with UV-stabilized PP. The fact that the plastic is UV-stabilized means that the only thing that happens to the material over time is that it develops a more matte surface instead.
The material is available in several colors, and it makes it possible to manufacture special seating benches, different types of stairs, overflow systems, and only the imagination sets the limits.
Quick installation
The PP Pool is delivered as a complete shell, and installation is quick and easy. When the pool is to be installed, a hole is dug where the pool will be placed, after which geotextile fabric, drainage, and a base layer are added. After this, the bottom insulation that comes with the pool is laid in place. As soon as the pool has been lowered into the hole, you can connect it, remove the protective film, start filling it with water, and backfill with dry concrete.
A normal installation time for a PP Pool is approximately one week from when the excavator started digging the hole. However, if the ground is unstable, such as sand, or if the groundwater level is high, it is necessary to cast a base slab on top of the drainage. Otherwise, the installation is the same. Withstands temperatures above 33 degrees
A pool is meant to be enjoyed, not shivered in while swimming, which is why many of our customers want a water temperature of 28 or even 30 degrees in the pool. This is no problem with a PP Pool, as the material can withstand temperatures above 33 degrees as well.
Delivery & installation
The PP pool is backfilled with dry mortar on the sides while the pool is simultaneously filled with water. The dry mortar and the water then form concrete. This makes the pool a concrete pool, which is by far the most stable option available and lasts longer than any other type of pool without rusting or rotting.
The combination of a PP pool and concrete gives you the best of both worlds. You get a concrete pool with all the advantages of a PP pool, such as long durability, no risk of rot, and the ability to withstand higher temperatures.
Our pools have frames made of Roechling CubX, which is a very strong yet lightweight material. CubX is constructed in the same way as aircraft walls, where two horizontal walls are connected by many vertical walls. This makes the structure much more stable than when using PP.

Delivery
PP pools are delivered, just like fibreglass pools, as a “one-piece shell”. By “one-piece shell” we mean that the pool is delivered in a single piece, with the pool floor, walls, and steps complete and finished upon delivery. Nowadays, “one-piece shells” are preferred because the installation time for the pool is then much shorter, resulting in a lower installation cost.
Installation of a PP Pool
The installation of a PP pool is تقريبually the same as for a glasfiberpool. Below you can read about how the installation of a glasfiberpool is carried out:
- First, a hole is dug where the pool will be installed
- Drainage, the base, and a cast concrete base slab are created
- The pool and insulation are placed
- The pool is backfilled while it is filled with water
The above procedure takes no more than 1–2 weeks from delivery until the pool is ready for use.
The Lifespan of a PP Pool
The material in a PP Pool is UV-protected and highly durable. The lifespan of the panels in a PP Pool is approximately 40-45 years, and the only thing that happens to the material over time is that the glossy surface becomes slightly more matte after 10-15 years. If you are going to invest in a pool, the recommendation is that you choose a PP pool, both for its lifespan and its durability.
PP Pool - Manufacturing and Materials
A PP pool is made from polypropylene. Unlike fibreglass, polypropylene is not harmful to humans, but is an environmentally friendly material that is also approved for various types of food containers and drinking water containers.
During manufacturing, homogeneous sheets are welded together using a welding machine, with the staircase also welded in using extrusion tools. The sheets that make up the pool are between 8 mm and 12 mm thick, creating a stable and durable construction.
The material used in a PP Pool comes in different colours, giving you the opportunity to choose the colour that suits you best.
Good insulation performance
A PP pool has good insulation performance and withstands high temperatures. Polypropylene is an insulating plastic, and the material is fitted with 30 mm insulation on the outside. Since both sides of the pool are insulated, only 6% of the heat escapes through the pool’s walls and bottom. This means lower heating costs, as 94% of the heat remains in the pool. To reduce heating costs even further, the recommendation is to get a pool enclosure, since heat rises upward and with the help of a pool enclosure, the heat stays in the water.
Many people want a warm pool to enjoy, and a PP Pool is therefore a perfect fit. This type of pool can handle temperatures above 33 degrees, and if you like the idea of taking a dip in a warm pool, then PP Pool is the right choice for you.
PGX UV stabilization
During 2020, the manufacturer Roechling introduced an even more durable material with greater resistance to chlorine and UV radiation than the current PG material. The new product is called PGX, and it helps the colour last even longer while making it harder for chlorine to bleach it.
CAD drawing for every customer
When an order is placed, the factory’s engineers produce detailed drawings of each part in the form of a CAD drawing, which the customer approves and can then plan the excavation accordingly.
Built-in staircase
The stairs are an important part of the pool’s construction. Up to 2011, the stairs were built with support underneath, meaning that cement was filled under the stairs. This outdated construction has been problematic both during installation and in the event of settlement and ground movement. Over the years, most manufacturers have instead chosen to replace this with a water-filled staircase. The pool itself is manufactured as a single water barrier, and then the staircase is built into the pool. This means there is no risk of the pool leaking if settlement should occur in the staircase section. Under the stairs, there is water circulation directly from the sand filter, which is purified, and since algae do not form in darkness, there is no need to worry about the water quality under the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs there are inlets, from which the water then circulates out into the pool.
Our stairs are made from semi-protected “cubic grain” material with no edges and are a true masterpiece! Choose between a straight or rounded corner staircase with seating bench, a floating staircase, or a full-end staircase. The staircase construction is very stable and does not flex, thanks to skilled engineering calculations.
Which pool should you choose?
If you want hassle-free ownership, we recommend choosing a PP Pool. PP Pools have a long service life, are not affected by blistering or cracks, and are energy-efficient thanks to their high insulating capacity.
When investing in a pool, it is preferable to buy one of high quality. Since a pool is a major investment, it is important to think through the decision before deciding which type of pool and construction you want.
