    What is a glasfiberpool?

    A glasfiberpool is manufactured in a single piece of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, making it extremely strong, sealed, and resistant to cracks. The surface is coated with a gelcoat layer that makes the pool both smooth and hygienic, which minimizes algae growth and makes cleaning easy.

    Quick installation and long lifespan

    Unlike concrete or liner pools, a glasfiberpool can be installed quickly. Since the pool shell is delivered ready-made, installation can often be completed in just a few days. This means less excavation, fewer working days – and that you can start enjoying your new pool much sooner.

    A glasfiberpool also has a very long lifespan. With proper care, it lasts for 30 years or more without you needing to replace the liner or renovate the surface layer.

  • Polyester


    Polyester is a material that slowly allows water molecules to pass through over time, and it is usually estimated that it takes about one year for water molecules to pass through one layer of polyester before they begin to penetrate the next layer. A cheap glasfiberpool is often made of this material.

  • Vinylester


    Vinylester is a material that also allows water molecules to pass through, but this process takes much longer than with polyester. It is estimated to take around 20 years for vinylester to let the water molecules through. A more expensive glasfiberpool is often made from this material. The innermost layer of a glasfiberpool is called gelcoat, and this is what gives the pool its colour. Gelcoat is manufactured in both Europe and Australia, but the best gelcoat is made in Australia.
