Solar-powered circulation pump

Pooltime is proud to present a unique solution for pool owners: our solar-powered circulation pump. This system harnesses the sun’s energy by placing 3–4 solar panels on, for example, the garage roof or a freestanding pole, which then powers the circulation pump. The pump is a direct-current pump (DC), which is up to 30% more efficient than traditional alternating-current pumps (AC). In Sweden, a solar-powered pump is optimal from March to October, a period that perfectly aligns with the pool’s main usage season. The system is a completely "OFF GRID" solution, which means it is independent of the power grid and therefore eliminates electricity costs for pump operation on sunny days. For those who want continuous operation even when the sun is not shining, the Powerpack 2000S is available as an option. This complementary system allows operation via the power grid after sunset or on cloudy days. Our solar-powered circulation pumps come in two sizes: a smaller model ideal for private individuals with single pools, and a larger variant tailored for municipal swimming pools or larger facilities. This contributes to a more sustainable and cost-effective pool experience, and in combination with a pool enclosure the energy savings can be further optimized.

Variable-speed circulation pumps have become popular because they circulate the water at a lower speed over a longer time, saving energy. VSP pumps are a popular choice for those who want circulation during the winter period and want to save on electricity.

Solar-powered motor for pool enclosure

A pool enclosure insulates your pool and protects it from dirt and contaminants, thereby saving the environment and reducing energy consumption. With a solar-powered motor for your pool enclosure, you can open and close the enclosure by pressing a button on a remote control. We call this motor MOOVER, and it fits most pool enclosures on the market. The sun charges the MOOVER’s battery, so you do not need to run power cables to the motor.
