Installation, care and service life

Keep the intake and nozzles clear and regularly check that the flow is normal. Follow the product instructions for starting, stopping, servicing and winterising. Fixed electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Compare Pahlén Motion and Athlete

This category includes Pahlén Jet Swim Motion Classic, Motion Marine and Athlete. The Motion models are described as having two oval nozzles and adjustable air mixing. Athlete also uses two nozzles, but its specified water flow is without air mixing. This distinction matters when choosing between an air-enriched water jet and more focused swimming resistance.

The product specifications state 2.2 kW and 46 m³/h for Motion, compared with 4.0 kW and 68 m³/h for Athlete. These model specifications need to be assessed alongside the pipework, pool shape and your desired training level. A higher stated flow alone does not tell you how swimming will feel in a particular pool.

Space around the unit

Check where the intake, front panel and control button will sit in relation to the steps and swimmers' movement through the pool. The equipment space must provide access to the pump and connections. When replacing an older unit, check both the built-in housing and front panel; the same brand does not automatically mean the same fit.
