Why should I buy a fibreglass pool?

Customers often refer to a polyester pool as a plastic pool. However, these garden pools are not conventional plastic pools: they are made from gelcoat, resin and fibreglass matting.

The main advantage of polyester pools is their one-piece construction and smooth surface. Reinforced-concrete and polypropylene pools have joints or welds.

Fibreglass pool insulation

Our pools are insulated with polyurethane foam to reduce heat loss. This layer is essential because it not only helps maintain the water temperature but also protects the pool against mechanical damage from outside.

Quality and customer satisfaction have been our priorities from the outset. That is why we use highly durable materials to manufacture pools in which the water can be heated to 30 degrees.

What are our fibreglass pools made of?

1. This is the outer layer, visible to the naked eye, and the pool's most important layer. Its purpose is to protect the structural layers from water and chemicals.
2. A second layer of gelcoat is applied to provide additional resistance.
3. A sprayed protective layer protects the pool surface against osmosis and blistering.
4. This vinyl ester resin performs the same function as the coating layer.
5. It consists of several layers of fibreglass matting and resin, depending on the pool size. This layer reinforces the entire pool shell.
6. Steel is placed beneath the pool frame and along the moulded reinforcements. It prevents the walls from bending and further strengthens the whole pool.
7. Woven roving is an additional material that reinforces the structure.
8. Polyurethane foam reduces heat loss and protects the pool against external damage.
