How does a pool robot work?

The pool robot works by a pump circulating the water through a filter that captures leaves and debris from the pool floor. The pool robot is intelligent and calculates the pool's surface area and some even climb the walls to clean the pool walls.

What should I consider when choosing a pool robot?

Pool robots are available for different pools and pool sizes. Pool robots with “soft foam” are designed for fiberglass pools and liner pools, while pool robots with “brushes” are more suited for concrete pools or mosaic pools.

Each pool robot has a recommended pool size that it is suitable for.

What different pool robots are available on the market?

Pool robots can be divided into two categories: those that operate with electricity and those that connect to the skimmer or the pool's outlet.

For electric pool robots, there is a long 12-16m power cable to the pool robot (some models also work with batteries). The pool robot vacuums the entire pool floor and some models also clean the walls by climbing the pool wall. The pool robot has either a basket or a bag where leaves and debris are collected.

For pool robots connected to the skimmer basket, the flow of water creates suction under the pool robot, which attaches to the pool floor and bounces around. Dirt ends up either inside the robot itself or in the pool pump's basket.
