The pipe system must suit the whole pool installation
PVC pipes, fittings and valves connect the pool to the pump, filter and other equipment. Choose parts by material, size and connection type. A solvent-weld socket, threaded connection and hose tail are different solutions even when similar size markings are used. Check the actual connection on both sides of every adapter.
Make a simple sketch from the pool's suction pipe through the equipment room and back to the inlets. Mark valves, union fittings and service points. This helps identify the parts needed and leaves room to remove equipment without rebuilding the entire pipe system.
The right adhesive for rigid pipe or flexible hose
The range includes products for different uses. Griffon UNI-100 is specified for rigid PVC and ABS pipes and, according to the product information, must not be used for flexible PVC hose. Griffon WDF-05 is also specified for flexible PVC hose. Choose according to the material and adhesive instructions, rather than simply because both products are called PVC adhesive.
Griffon Cleaner is used for cleaning before bonding. Follow each product's instructions for preparation, drying and curing before putting the system into service. Welldana Super Glue is an adhesive and sealant with different properties and must not be assumed to replace pipe adhesive in a pressurised joint.
Check before ordering
Note the pipe outside diameter, any thread sizes, material and equipment to be connected. Photograph older connections if the markings are difficult to read. Also check whether seals or union parts come with the chosen product. Machine-specific components are listed under spare parts, while pumps and filters are under pool pumps and electrical control panels and sand filters, respectively.
