Benefits of an overflow pool

An overflow pool (overflow pool) has a design concept where the water in the pool flows over the edge and is collected in a drainage channel, delivering an aesthetically and functionally appealing impression. Here are some of the advantages of an overflow pool:

1. Aesthetic appeal

Seamless design: The water appears to blend into the surroundings, creating an "infinite" effect, especially if the pool is positioned at a vantage point, such as a slope with sea or landscape in the background.
Sense of luxury: overflow pools are often used in luxury resorts and upscale homes, lending an elegant and exclusive impression.

2. Cleaner water

Effective circulation: The water flowing over the edge carries away surface debris such as leaves, insects, and dirt, helping keep the surface cleaner than in traditional pools.
Even water level: Because the pool is designed to be full at all times, the water level remains constant, which can improve circulation and filtration.

3. Better swimming experience

No edges: Swimming in an overflow pool provides a smooth transition to the pool edge, as the water flows over without creating waves that bounce back.
Relaxing sound: The sound of running water can have a calming effect, enhancing the overall poolside experience.

4. Higher water quality

Because the water constantly moves through the system, which includes filtration and disinfection, the water quality can be maintained at a high level. This reduces the need for chemicals and lowers the risk of algae growth.

5. Safety

The water being level with the pool edges makes the pool seem less deep, which can reduce the risk of accidents as people may feel more secure when approaching the edge.

6. Modern and flexible design

overflow pools can be adapted to different environments, such as gardens or terraces, making them versatile in design and use. They can even give the impression of blending into the surrounding landscape, as if they were flowing into a lake or the sea.

7. Reduced waves

The continuous water flow minimizes disturbances on the surface, meaning the water surface is usually much calmer than in a traditional pool, which is beneficial for both swimming and relaxation.

In summary, overflow pools offer a combination of style, comfort, and functionality. They are particularly popular among people who want to combine the pool’s practical advantages with an aesthetically pleasing environment.
