Low pool enclosure – Smart – features and uses
Smart is a range of pool enclosures and accessories for reducing dirt in the pool, limiting evaporation and retaining more of the heat already in the water. The range has a defined purpose, but your choice must always reflect the pool's actual dimensions and installation site.
When comparing models, consider the internal width, overall length, maximum height, number of sections, rail design and where the enclosure can be retracted. Doors, pool coping, ladders and other protruding parts can affect which size will fit.
Choose the right enclosure for your pool
Measure the pool's maximum external dimensions and check that the surface along the rails is level, stable and long enough. Consult the product sheet for the specific model, as dimensions and design may vary between sizes.
What to check
- Pool dimensions and construction
- Capacity, connections and installation space
- Compatibility with existing equipment
- Care, servicing and winter care
Installation and routine care
Keep rails and wheels free from gravel, leaves and ice. Check locks and fixings regularly, and always follow the model's instructions for wind, snow and winter care.

Smart 4 × 8.5 – distinguish the name from the installation dimensions
The Albixon Smart product shown has four sections, a side door and a stated external length of 860 cm. Its stated height is 100 cm. This illustrates why the size name should not be the only basis for measurements. Check the model's internal and external dimensions against both the pool and its coping.
The product information describes 55 × 40 mm profiles and material options of 8 mm clear multiwall plastic or 4 mm solid clear plastic, depending on the version. Choose the variant to suit the appearance you want and check what is included before ordering. Also compare the enclosure height with ladders and other raised features.
Space for four retracted sections
Mark where the enclosure will stand when opened. To uncover the whole pool, the retraction area and rail length must accommodate the planned movement. The door position must work with the steps even when the enclosure is closed. Find additions under pool enclosure accessories and compare other profiles under low pool enclosures.
