VSP pool pumps

VSP pool pumps – features and use

The VSP pool pumps category brings together pumps for pool circulation. The pool pump drives water through the filter and other treatment equipment. Correct sizing is essential for consistent water quality, reasonable energy use and a comfortable noise level.

Choose the pump according to pool volume, required turnover time, pipe diameter and length, and resistance from the filter, heater and other equipment. The maximum stated flow is not always the actual flow in a completed installation.

Choose the right pump for your pool

Compare capacity, power, connections, controls and noise data. Also check that the filter can handle the pump's flow. A correctly sized system provides a better balance than automatically choosing the largest model.

What to check

• Pool dimensions and construction
• Capacity, connections and installation space
• Compatibility with existing equipment
• Care, servicing and winter care

Installation and routine care

Position the pump in a dry, ventilated location with easy access for servicing. Clean the pump basket, check for leaks and avoid dry running. Follow the instructions for frost protection and winter shutdown.

Contact Pooltime if you would like help choosing VSP pool pumps. Send your pool dimensions and details of the existing equipment so that we can more easily check which solution suits your project.

Match the speed to the pool's different operating modes

A VSP pump has adjustable speed, allowing circulation to be adapted for tasks such as normal filtration and backwashing. However, a lower speed must not reduce the flow below what the heat pump, salt chlorinator or other equipment requires. Settings must therefore be chosen for the entire installation.

The range includes Kripsol VSP and Zodiac FloPro E30iQ. Controls and connectivity vary between models; E30iQ is described, for example, as offering FluidraPool connectivity. Check which schedules, speed modes and external control signals your chosen product supports. An app feature does not replace correct sizing.

Compare operating points and connections

Assess the pump's capacity at several speeds and compare it with the filter's operating range. When replacing a pump, pipe connections, power supply and installation dimensions must match. Also note how filter cleaning and servicing will be carried out with the new controls. Provide the pool volume, filter model and other equipment details to support your choice. Compare further versions under pool pumps and electrical control cabinets and complement them with sand filters.
