Choose the lighting feel before you choose the lamp
White light is ideal when you want a cohesive, understated look. RGB offers the possibility of working with colour, provided that the lights and controls are designed to work together. Think about how the pool looks from the living room, the dining area, and the place where you usually sit in the evening.
The perceived colour of the water is also affected by the liner, pool depth, and surroundings. So start with the whole picture rather than trying to recreate a photograph exactly. Place the light so that it highlights the pool without shining directly toward the main seating area.
Building new or replacing existing lighting?
For new builds, niches, cabling, and control can be planned together. For a replacement, the existing system sets the limits. Check the fixture dimensions, mounting, connection, and the power supply it requires. The same appearance does not automatically mean that two lights are compatible.

- Electrical and control: check voltage, transformer, and compatibility with any RGB control.
