Pool with Skimmer – How Pool Surface Water Filtration Works
Pool with skimmer
A skimmer is a common solution for taking water from the pool surface to the purification system. Surface water with leaves and other particles is drawn in through the skimmer and then on to circulation and filtration.
Standard skimmer or high-water skimmer?
The difference is most visible in the height of the waterline. A high-water skimmer makes it possible to bring the water surface closer to the pool edge, while a traditional skimmer normally creates a greater distance between the water surface and the top edge.
Skimmer in PP pool
Pooltime’s PP pools are offered in skimmer design and also with high-water, overflow or infinity. This makes it possible to choose the waterline according to design and technical conditions.
Choose the solution early
Skimmer and inlets are central parts of the pool’s circulation and should be planned together with the treatment plant and technical room. Read more about PP pool or compare with high-water skimmer.
