Eight factors that determine the price
- Width and length: larger roofs require more material and more or heavier sections.
- Height: tall roofs use more material and may have a different construction class.
- Clear plastic or twin-wall plastic: the materials differ in appearance, insulation, thickness, and price.
- Profiles and colour: anodised aluminium, powder coating, and premium profiles result in different prices.
- Tracks: double tracks, single tracks, and extra track length affect both the product and installation.
- Doors and openings: side door, end door, and placement may be standard or optional.
- Delivery method: kit and pre-assembled sections have different transport and installation requirements.

Don't forget costs around the pool roof
The base needs to be level and stable. If a deck or paving stones need to be reinforced or adjusted, extra work will be added. Extra tracks are needed when the roof must be moved completely away from the water surface. A crane or special unloading may be required for large pre-assembled roofs. Also check whether installation and sealing are included.
Cheapest or lowest total cost?
A cheap roof is not automatically the best value. Compare how easy it is to open, spare parts, warranties, panel material, locking, and whether the construction suits the base. A roof that is easy to use is also more often kept closed when the pool is not in use.
Also calculate energy savings and reduced cleaning. Exact savings depend on pool temperature, weather, use, and how tightly the roof seals.
