Our winter sheets are self-supporting and designed for winter covering and winter closing of your pool. Here, a good coverage width is combined with high load-bearing capacity. The winter sheets are, of course, adapted to your pool and can withstand heavy snow loads. This provides your pool with complete protection throughout the winter. We sell winter sheets for all pool sizes from 3×6 up to 6×12 pools.

Alu-zinc is an aluminum-zinc coated sheet that can be used unpainted up to corrosion class C4. The coating alloy consists of 1.6% silicon, 43.4% zinc, and 55% aluminum. The designation AZ185 indicates the coating weight of 185 g/m2 per double side. The surface is treated with SPT (Surface Protection Treatment) to prevent disturbing stains during handling and to facilitate forming.

The covers are coated with AluZinc coating on both sides. The chlorine gases are corrosive, but this coating protects the plates and thus prevents the steel from rusting.

Udseende

The surface is glossy metal with a rose pattern that over time acquires a grayish hue, later transforming into a gray matte patina. TP104 Coating Alloy consists of 1.6% silicon, 43.4% zinc, and 55% aluminum.

  • Korrosion

    Alu-zinc has a self-healing ability that makes the material resistant to corrosion caused by scratches. The alu-zinc coating provides the sheet with double corrosion protection. The first protection is the layer through which the coating forms a barrier against general corrosion. The second protection is due to the formation of galvanic elements (electrolyte) when the sheet is exposed to moisture, causing zinc ions to transfer and protect exposed steel from corrosion in scratches or cut edges. Alu-zinc can be used in a much more corrosive environment than, for example, hot-dip galvanized steel.

  • Environmental

    The lifespan of Alu-zinc, along with, for example, hot-dip galvanized sheet metal, offers significant environmental benefits. There is a well-functioning infrastructure for steel recycling worldwide. Once steel has been produced, it becomes part of an eternal cycle because steel always contains recycled material. Steel is always 100% recyclable, and the metal coating poses no issues during remelting.
