Top Comfort above ground – features and use

Top Comfort above ground is a solution for those who want an easily accessible slatted cover without building the roller into the pool structure. When in use, the cover can reduce evaporation and help retain heat in the pool water.

An above-ground solution is particularly useful for retrofitting, as installation can be planned at the short end of the pool. The internal pool shape, steps, waterline and available space determine how well it fits.

Choose the right slatted cover for your pool

Check the pool's internal width and length, the space behind the short end and the model's installation dimensions. Also allow for the skimmer, inlets, overflow and other fittings that may affect slat movement.

What to check

  • Pool dimensions and construction
  • Capacity, connections and installation space
  • Compatibility with existing equipment
  • Care, servicing and winter care

Installation and routine care

Clean slats and moving parts regularly. Correct water balance and winter care matter for both surfaces and mechanisms; always follow the product's specific care instructions.

Contact Pooltime if you would like help choosing Top Comfort above ground. Send your pool dimensions and details of the existing equipment so that we can more easily check which solution suits your project.

Top Comfort – width, positioning and clear access

Top Comfort comes in several widths and is described in the current configurations as having an above-ground roller, a stainless steel assembly and PVC slats. Check the chosen product's contents to see exactly which parts are included. Establish the pool's shape and length alongside the width selection.

Position the roller so that the slats move freely across the water surface and service access is retained. Also consider how you will walk around the pool when the cover is open. A drawing showing steps, coping and furniture makes it easier to assess the position before ordering.

Above-ground or submerged system?

An above-ground model is visible at the pool edge, while a submerged solution requires a dedicated installation space. The right choice depends on the pool project and the desired appearance. Compare AquaTop submerged 400 if the roller is to be integrated into the structure, or TopMoov if a movable roller is of interest. For every option, final dimensions, operation and fixings must follow the relevant system instructions.
