Eight factors that determine the price
- Width and length: larger covers require more material and more or heavier sections.
- Height: tall covers use more material and may have a different structural class.
- Clear plastic or twin-wall plastic: the materials differ in appearance, insulation, thickness and price.
- Profiles and colour: anodised aluminium, powder coating and premium profiles result in different prices.
- Rails: double rails, single rails and extra rail length affect both the product and installation.
- Doors and openings: side door, gable door and placement may be standard or optional.

Do not forget the costs around the pool cover
The base needs to be level and stable. If a wooden deck or paving stones need to be reinforced or adjusted, additional work will apply. Extra rails are needed when the cover must be moved fully away from the water surface. A crane or special unloading may be required for large fully assembled covers. Also check whether installation and sealing are included.
Cheapest or lowest total cost?
A cheap cover is not automatically the best value. Compare how easy it is to open, spare parts, warranties, panel material, locking and whether the construction suits the base. A cover that is easy to use is also more likely to stay closed when the pool is not in use.
