Pool coping and edging

Pool coping to suit the pool and surrounding area

Pool coping finishes the top edge of the pool and meets both the water surface and the surrounding paving. The range includes coping sets in the Rustica and Natura ranges, such as Nevada, Athen, Napoli, Kiruna and Modena. Compare the material, profile and package contents with the pool's finished dimensions.

The product name may indicate a size class such as 4 × 8, but this does not replace checking the stone dimensions and corner design. The pool's internal dimensions, wall thickness and desired overhang affect how the coping should be laid. Also document steps and any departures from a simple rectangle.

Concrete or natural stone

Rustica options are listed under concrete pool coping, while the Natura range is among natural stone pool coping. Choose according to the product's specified material, finish and care guidance. Consider assessing the colour and texture using a sample in the setting where the stone will be laid. Light and moisture can affect how the material looks.

Coordinate coping with the enclosure and liner

If the pool will have enclosure tracks, plan their position and fixing together with the coping. A raised edge must not obstruct the movement of the enclosure sections. In a liner pool, consider the liner track position and the possibility of future liner replacement before laying the stones.

Check how many straight stones and corner pieces are included and whether cutting or additional pieces are needed. The substrate, joints and installation must follow the instructions for the chosen stone. A dimensioned sketch showing the pool edge, steps and planned tracks is useful when enquiring.
