Which pools can you find with us at Pooltime?
Today, there are several different ways to build a pool, and many different materials to choose from. There are many different pool types on the market, and these can be divided into two categories: pools delivered in parts and those delivered as a “single shell”. With a pool delivered as a “single shell”, installation is much faster, and you do not need a PVC liner in your pool.

Thermoplast Pool / PP Pool, environmentally friendly “one-piece shell” complete pool package
Thermoplastic pool or Polypropylene pool (PP Pool) / Plastic pool is the latest technology in the pool industry. The pool material consists of an environmentally friendly material called Polypropylene and belongs to the thermoplastic group. These have extremely good insulating properties.
Thermoplastic pools are delivered as a “single shell,” just like glasfiberpools. Since polypropylene is a homogeneous material, osmosis/blistering does not occur. This can happen in cheap glasfiberpools that contain polyester. The material is very durable, which means that even dogs can swim in the pool! To read more about our PP Pools, please see our pool catalogue.
Read more about our PP Pool pool packages or configure a PP Pool online in our online store.

Thermopool / Insulated pool complete package
The Thermopool consists of polystyrene blocks that are then filled with concrete, creating the pool’s structure. We offer Thermopools from Chemoform and Jackon. The pool wall is then lined with a liner, available in many different colours. Isopool is a perfect choice for those who find it difficult to get a ready-made pool into the ground.
Regardless of which pool model you choose, you are welcome to consult our sales team before purchasing a pool. In-ground pool or above-ground pool, glasfiberpool, thermoplastic pool, Thermopool or liner pool – we will help you choose the right dream pool for your garden!
Here you can find more information about our Thermopools or configure the Thermopool directly in our online store.

glasfiberpool
This pool is delivered as a “one-piece shell”. In recent years, this type of pool has been in very high demand on the market. At Pooltime, we carefully select our suppliers to ensure your pool has the longest possible lifespan. Fiberglass is a very sensitive material, which makes it especially important to choose the right supplier.
The reason is that cheap fiberglass pools (of low quality) containing polyester can develop something called blistering or osmosis. This happens when the polyester slowly lets water through, which then freezes in winter. This can cause the pool to crack and/or develop mould in summer, as well as form bubbles on the surface layer.
Our supplier offers the world’s most unique pool with patented Composite Armour technology. These fiberglass pools are also called composite pools.
Composite pools contain a mesh of Kevlar and carbon fiber, making the pool walls flexible but also incredibly durable. Composite pools contain only vinyl ester and not polyester, which is why these pools come with a lifetime warranty.

above-ground pool / children's pool
Above-ground pools, also known as paddling pools, come in many different sizes. What these pools have in common is that they stand above ground and are a self-supporting construction with a sheet metal frame and liner.
Above-ground pools / paddling pools are most often entry-level models, where you first buy an above-ground pool as a family pool to try it out. Many who have tried an above-ground pool often then invest in an in-ground pool as a permanent pool.
You can find our above-ground pool models in our online store.

Complete Pool Packages
We have developed complete pool packages to make it easier for our customers when buying a pool. If you do not work with pools, it can be difficult to know which products you actually need for the pool or its accessories. For example, if you buy pool lighting, you also need a transformer for the lighting.
Our pool packages are divided into basic packages, comfort packages, heating packages, etc. See our pool packages

By building a pool on your own in Västerås
Many customers prefer to build their pool themselves. In that case, it can be good to know the price for building a pool. The prices we offer for pool installation are very competitive and affordable. Often, it can be better and safer to let a professional handle the construction of the pool instead of doing it yourself.
By getting help from an expert, you know that everything is done correctly. It goes faster, you can spend time on other things instead, sit back and enjoy the pool when it is finished. During home visits in Västerås and the surrounding area, the excavator operator and the pool installer/pool builder are also present to ensure your quote is as accurate as possible.
It is a perfect opportunity to ask questions to those who are experts in building pools before starting the construction. Then you are free to begin building your dream pool.
Bra att tänka på inför ert poolbygge i Västerås
Even though you usually do not need either land permit or building permit when constructing a pool in Västerås city and surrounding areas, some common sense is still required when building a pool. A few things that are good to consider before construction are:
The first step can be to think about the pool's placement on the plot and which size and shape best suit your needs.
Then you need to decide if it should be partially or fully buried or above ground.
Check for any cables and pipe routes at ledningskollen.se. It is the customer's responsibility to check where the cables are located. This is to know where you can dig and place the pool.
Contact and talk to neighbors in the area who have built pools. It is good to know the soil conditions and groundwater level.
Consider if you have the time and energy to build the pool yourself or if you want to hire partial or total contracting.
It is also good to think about when during the year it is best for you to build your pool.

With us, you will also find a very wide and large range of pool accessories that you may need for your pool. Choose between pool accessories that make it more comfortable to stay in your pool or more practical ones.
The basic equipment for a pool includes a circulation pump that circulates the water and a sand filter that cleans the water. Then there are various accessories to make the pool water cleaner. A UV lamp alters the DNA of bacteria so that they cannot reproduce, which means that 70-80% less chlorine is required in the water.
A pool heat pump is needed if you want to heat the pool water to 30 degrees, allowing you to use the pool from March to October. A pool cover is a popular pool accessory that insulates the pool, prevents dirt or leaves from getting into the pool, and also protects children and animals from falling into the pool. -
Some examples of the accessories we offer in our range:
-
-
- Pool liner
- Pool & spa chemicals
- Pool robot & pool care
- Water purification
- Pool lighting
- Coping stone
- Jet swim
- Pool pump & electrical cabinet

The placement of its pool
Placing your pool correctly is of great importance. Not only for practical reasons, such as where your pipes run, but also to ensure optimal use of the pool. It is also a permanent decision; the pool’s location cannot be changed once the pool has been installed and completed.
It is a good idea to place your pool in a pleasant gathering spot in the garden. However, not too close to exits from the house; you do not want to be at risk of falling into the pool every time you go outside. But not too far from the house either, as seeing the pool is a pleasure for many. Many people feel better being near water and watching the blue water sparkle in the pool. It is something you never tire of. Having a good view of the pool is also beneficial if you have children or pets.

pool enclosure
Another thing that is good to keep in mind is to have a few metres of free space behind the pool, in case you want a pool enclosure. What many people do not consider is that the pool enclosure needs somewhere to go when it is not covering the pool. This is usually called the pool enclosure’s “parking space”.
It is also worth noting that you need at least 1 metre of extra space beyond the “parking space” so that you can walk around your pool. And even if you are not planning to buy a pool enclosure, it can still be good to keep it in mind in case you want to buy an enclosure for your pool at a later stage.
Safety is the most common reason for buying a pool enclosure, but there are also other good reasons to get one. The pool enclosure protects the water in the pool from contaminants such as sand, stones, dirt, leaves, and not least rainwater, which alters the pool’s pH value.
A pool enclosure is also a good economical option. If you cover the pool with a pool enclosure, you can use the pool for a longer period and extend the swimming season. You can then expect to be able to swim in the pool from April to October in 28-30 degree water, as pool enclosures have a high insulating capacity.
Hur stor pool i Uppsala ska man välja?
The basic rule is that the pump room should be located as close to the pool as possible, but preferably no more than 10 m from the edge of the pool. The pool heat pump should be placed as close to the inlets as possible to avoid heat loss on the way to the pool.
If it is not possible to have the circulation pump and filter in a storage room/garage above ground, there are ready-made pump rooms available for purchase to be lowered behind the pool. However, the disadvantage of these pump rooms is that winter shutdown becomes more complicated, and if there is a leak, the entire pump room can fill with water and damage all the electronics.
