5 × 10 pool enclosures: Compare models for large pools

A 5×10 pool enclosure needs to be selected based on the pool’s actual external dimensions, not just the name of the pool size. Check the clear internal dimensions of the canopy between the tracks, total length, highest point, and the space needed when the sections are slid away. Pool edge, stairs, and coping can mean that an extra-wide or custom-sized model is required.
Pooltime has several pool canopy series for large pools, from classic arched canopies to ultra-low premium options with a single track. Below, we compare models and choices that are relevant for a pool of around 5×10 meters.
Models to compare
Klasik 5×10
Klasik has an arched profile and is an established choice for large pools. It is available with different panel materials and profile finishes depending on the variant. Check the height carefully, as large arched enclosures may be taller than low-profile models. View pool enclosure klasik 5×10.
Mästare Plus 5×10
Mästare Plus is a low premium canopy with a track on one side. It is suitable if you want to keep the other long side more open and achieve a discreet look over a large pool. See Mästare Plus 5×10.
ICON 5×10
ICON is an ultra-low model with clear plastic and a modern design. It is relevant when design and low height are priorities, but check the space, snow load handling, and the width needed for the pool edge and walking area. See ICON 5×10.
Special 5×10
The Special series offers more options to customise width, track side, and door placement to suit the pool area. It may be suitable when a standard solution does not fit the pool edge or stairs. See Special 5×10.
What does 5×10 mean?
A pool called 5×10 may have different external dimensions than the water surface, and different pool enclosures use their own size designations. An enclosure needs to cover the pool’s maximum width, including the coping, and be long enough for the entire pool. Therefore, compare the product’s technical dimensions in centimeters, not just the product name.
Measure before ordering
- Maximum outer dimensions from pool edge to pool edge.
- Stairs, skimmer, handrail, and other protruding parts.
- Clear width for tracks or the wheel side.
- Clear length behind the pool for parking the canopy sections.
- The material, level, and load-bearing capacity of the base.
- Preferred side for the door, walkway, and any single-track system.
Choose height based on function
An ultra-low canopy blends into the garden and has less impact on the view. A medium-height or high canopy provides more volume and can make it possible to spend time closer to the pool under cover. Check local requirements and the model documentation before ordering.
Clear plastic or channel plastic?
Clear solid polycarbonate provides an unobstructed view and a modern look. Channel plastic has air channels that improve insulation but gives a less transparent appearance. Available thickness and material vary between models, so compare design, insulation, and maintenance as well.
Tracks and opening direction
Double tracks guide the canopy on both long sides. Single-track models have a track on one side and wheels on the other, which can free up a walkway. For a large structure, a level and stable base is especially important. Compare single-track options.
Price of a 5×10 pool enclosure
Pooltime’s current 5×10 models range from larger standard canopies to premium and special models. Price is affected by height, panels, profiles, track system, delivery, and installation. Also allow for any extra tracks, ground preparation, and unloading. See our price guide for pool enclosures and check current product prices.
Frequently asked questions
Do all 5×10 pool enclosures fit a pool that is 5×10?
No. The pool’s actual outer dimensions and the canopy’s internal dimensions must be compared. Coping and stairs may require extra width or length.
Can a 5×10 canopy be delivered fully assembled?
It depends on the model. Large pre-assembled sections place higher demands on transport, unloading, and access to the property.
Are extra tracks needed?
If the canopy is to be slid completely away from the pool, extra track length and free space behind the pool are often required. Check this in the product dimensions and quote.
