Which pools can you find with us at Pooltime?
Today, there are several different ways to build a pool and many different materials to choose from. There are many different pool types on the market, and these can be divided into two categories: pools delivered in parts and those delivered as a “complete shell.” With a pool delivered as a “complete shell,” installation is much faster, and you do not need a PVC liner in your pool.
Thermoplastic Pool / PP Pool, environmentally friendly “full shell” complete pool package
Thermoplastic pool or polypropylene pool (PP Pool) / Plastic pool is the latest technology in the pool industry. The pool is made from an environmentally friendly material called Polypropylene and belongs to the thermoplastics group. These have excellent insulation properties.
Thermoplastic pools are delivered as a “single shell,” just like fiberglass pools. As polypropylene is a homogeneous material, osmosis/blistering does not occur. This can happen in cheap fiberglass pools that contain polyester. The material is very hard-wearing, which means that even dogs can swim in the pool! To read more about our PP Pools, please see our pool catalogue.
Read more about our PP Pool package or configure a PP Pool online in our online store.
Fiberglass pool
This pool is delivered as a “one-piece shell”. This type of pool has been in high demand on the market in recent years. At Pooltime, we carefully select our suppliers so that your pool’s lifespan is as long as possible. Fiberglass is a very sensitive material, which makes it especially important to choose the right supplier.
The reason is that cheap (low-quality) fiberglass pools containing polyester can develop what is known as blistering or osmosis, where the polyester slowly lets water through, which then freezes in winter. This can cause the pool to crack and/or develop mould in summer, as well as form bubbles in the surface layer.
Our supplier offers the world’s most unique pool using patented Composite Armour technology. These fiberglass pools are also called composite pools.
Composite pools contain a mesh of Kevlar and carbon fibre, making the pool walls flexible yet incredibly durable. Composite pools contain only vinyl ester and not polyester, which is why these pools are guaranteed for life.
Thermopool / Insulated Pool Complete Pool Package
Thermal pool consists of polystyrene blocks, which are then filled with concrete; this becomes the pool’s frame. We offer thermal pools from Chemoform . The pool wall is then lined with a liner, available in many different colours. An insulated pool is a perfect choice for those who find it difficult to get a prefabricated pool onto their property.
Whichever pool model you decide on, you are welcome to consult our sales team before buying a pool. In-ground pool or above-ground pool, fibreglass pool, thermoplastic pool, thermal pool or liner pool – we will help you choose the right dream pool for your property!
Here is more information about our thermal pools or configure the thermal pool directly in our online shop.
Above-Ground Pool / Children's Pool
Above-ground pools, also known as children's pools, are available in many different sizes. What these pools have in common is that they stand above the ground and are a self-supporting construction with a metal sheet frame and liner.
Above-ground pools / children's pools are normally entry-level models, where you first buy an above-ground pool as a family pool, as a test. Many people who have tried an above-ground pool often choose an in-ground pool as a permanent pool.
You can find our models of above-ground pools this spring in our online store.
Complete pool packages
We have developed complete pool packages to make it easier for our customers when buying a pool. If you do not work with pools, it can be difficult to know which products you actually need for the pool or its accessories. For example, if you buy pool lighting, you also need a transformer for the lighting.
Our pool packages are divided into basic packages, comfort packages, heating packages, etc. See our pool packages

Build your own pool in Aarhus
Many customers choose to handle the construction of their pool themselves. In that case, it can be very helpful to know the cost of building the pool. The prices we offer for pool installation are highly competitive. Often, it may be better to let a professional handle the pool construction instead of doing it yourself.
If you choose a pool expert, you know everything will be done correctly, it will go faster, you can spend your time on other things instead, sit back and enjoy your pool when it is finished. During home visits in Aarhus and the surrounding area, the excavator operator and pool installer/pool builder are also present on site, so that the quote can be as accurate as possible. It is also a perfect opportunity to ask them any questions you may have before construction begins. After that, you are free to start digging and begin building your dream pool.
Good to consider before your pool build in Aarhus
Although a building permit or ground permit is usually not required when building a pool, in the city of Aarhus and surrounding areas, a certain amount of common sense is still needed when building a pool. Some things that are good to consider before construction are:
- The first step may be to decide on the pool’s location in the garden, as well as which size and shape suit you best.
- Then you need to determine whether the pool should be partially or fully in-ground, or above ground.
- Check any cables and pipes on your property on the website ledningskollen.se… It is the customer’s responsibility to check where the utility lines are located. This is because you need to know where the pool cannot be placed.
- Talk to your neighbours in the area who have built pools. It is good to know what the ground conditions and groundwater level are like.
- Consider whether you have the time and energy to build the pool yourself. It may be better to use a shared or turnkey contract.
- Also consider what time of year is best for you to start building the pool.
- Read about the different pool constructions. What their advantages and disadvantages are.
- Request a free quote from us at Pooltime and talk to our pool expert.

accessories for pools in Aarhus
With us, you will also find a very wide range of pool accessories in our online store, with products you may need for your pool. Choose between pool accessories that make your pool more comfortable or more practical accessories.
The basic equipment for a pool includes, among other things, a circulation pumpee that circulates the water and a sand filter that purifies the water. There are also various accessories to make your pool water cleaner. A UV lamp changes bacteria’s DNA so that they cannot reproduce, which means that 70–80% less chlorine is needed in the water.
A pool heat pump is needed if you want to heat your pool water to 30 degrees; this way, you can use the pool from March to October. Pool cover is a very popular pool accessory that insulates the pool, prevents dirt or leaves from ending up in your pool, and also protects children and animals from falling into the pool.
Some of our pool accessories from our range:
- Jet swimming
- Pool & spa chemicals
- Pool robot & pool maintenance
- Water purification
- Pool pump & electrical cabinet
- Pool lighting
- Coping stones
- Skimmer & inlet
The location of its pool
Positioning the pool correctly is important. Not only for practical reasons, such as where the plot’s utility lines run, but also to make using the pool as beneficial as possible. It is also a permanent decision, as the pool’s location cannot be changed once the pool has been installed and is ready.
It is a good idea to place your pool in a good gathering spot in the garden. But not too close to an exit from the house—you do not want to be on the verge of falling into the pool every time you go outside. At the same time, it should not be too far from the house either, as being able to see your pool is a pleasure and a beautiful sight for many people. Most people feel good being near water, and watching the blue water shimmer in the pool is something you never tire of. You also want a good view if you have children in the pool.
Pool cover
Another thing that is good to keep in mind is to leave a few metres free behind the pool, in case you want a pool enclosure. What many people do not think about is that the pool enclosure needs its own space when it is not covering the pool. This is usually called the pool enclosure’s “parking space”.
You also need at least 1 extra metre beyond the “parking space” so that you can walk around your pool. Even if you are not planning to buy a pool enclosure, it can be good to keep it in mind in case you change your mind at a later stage and want to buy an enclosure for the pool.
Safety is usually a common reason for choosing to buy a pool enclosure, but there are other reasons as well. A pool cover protects the water in the pool from contaminants such as sand, dirt, stones, leaves and not least rainwater, which changes the pool’s pH value.
A pool enclosure is also a good economical option. When you cover the pool, you can swim in it for a longer period, extending the swimming season. You can then expect to swim in your pool from April to October in water heated to 28-30 degrees, as pool enclosures have a high insulating capacity.
How big a pool should you choose?
The basic rule is that if you have a smaller plot of <400 m2, a pool size of 3 x 6 m is recommended. Larger plots of >400 m2, on the other hand, can accommodate pool sizes of 4 x 8 m or larger. These two pool sizes are the standard today, and pool covers are manufactured for these sizes.
Choosing a pool that suits all your needs and the whole family is not the easiest thing. But building an oasis in the garden, where you can escape Helsingborg’s warm city centre, is truly worth its weight in gold.
A wonderful swim that is appreciated by adults, children, and guests alike. Something you can enjoy for many years to come and that can also increase the value of your house in Helsingborg.
