Complete pool with the latest technology
A PP pool is made of polypropylene, a type of plastic that is also approved for drinking water containers. The pool is delivered as a "complete shell" to make installation as easy as possible. The plastic is solid-coloured throughout and is available in thicknesses of 8 or 12 mm. Since polypropylene is a homogeneous material, scratch marks will not affect the pool’s lifespan, and the pool cannot develop blistering or osmosis (as competing complete shells such as fiberglass pools can).
The type of polypropylene used in our pools comes from the German company Röchling and is specially developed for pool manufacturing with UV-stabilised PP. The fact that the plastic is UV-stabilised means that the only thing that happens to the material over time is that it develops a more matte surface instead.
The material is available in several colours, and it makes it possible to manufacture custom benches, various types of stairs, overflow systems, and only the imagination sets the limits.
Quick installation
The PP pool is delivered as a complete shell, and installation is quick and easy. When the pool is to be installed, a hole is dug where the pool will stand, after which fiberglass, drainage, and a base layer are placed. The bottom insulation is then assembled with the pool, which is put in place. As soon as the pool has been lowered into the hole, you can connect the pool, remove the protective film, and begin filling it with water while backfilling with dry mix.
A normal installation time for a PP pool is approximately one week from the time the excavator starts digging the hole. In unstable ground, such as sand or high groundwater, however, it is necessary to cast a base slab on top of the drainage. Otherwise, the installation is the same. Withstands temperatures above 33 degrees
You want to enjoy a pool without feeling cold when you swim, which is why many of our customers want a swimming temperature of 28 or even 30 degrees in the pool. This is not a problem with a PP pool, as the material can withstand temperatures even above 33 degrees.
Delivery and installation
The PP pool is backfilled with dry mortar on the sides at the same time as you fill the pool with water. The dry mortar and the water then form concrete. This makes the pool a concrete pool, which is absolutely the most stable you can get and which lasts the longest of all types of pools without rusting or rotting.
The combination of a PP pool and concrete means that you get the best of both worlds. You get a concrete pool that has all the advantages of a PP pool, such as long durability, no risk of rot, and the ability to withstand higher temperatures.
Our pools have a framework made of Roechling CubX, which is a very strong yet lightweight material. CubX is built in the same way as aircraft walls are constructed, where two horizontal walls are connected by many vertical walls. This makes the structure much more stable than when using PP.

Delivery
PP pools are delivered, like glasfiberpools, as a "complete pool". By "complete pool" we mean that the pool is delivered in one piece, with the pool floor, walls, and steps complete and ready on delivery. Nowadays, a "complete pool" is preferred because the installation time for the pool is then very short, resulting in a lower installation price.
Installation of a PP pool
The installation of a PP pool is roughly the same as for a glasfiberpool. Below you can read about how the installation of a glasfiberpool is carried out:- First, you need to dig a hole where the pool will be installed.
- Drainage, substrate, and a cast base slab are created
- The pool and insulation are placed
- The pool is backfilled at the same time as it is filled with water.
The above procedure takes no more than 1-2 weeks from delivery until the pool is ready for use. -
The lifespan of a PP pool
The material in a PP pool is UV-protected and highly durable. The lifespan of the panels in a PP pool is approximately 40-45 years, and the only thing that happens to the material over time is that the glossy surface becomes slightly more matte after 10-15 years. If you are going to invest in a pool, it is recommended that you choose a PP pool, both because of its lifespan and its durability.
PP Pool - Manufacturing and materials
A PP pool is made from the material polypropylene. Unlike fiberglass, polypropylene is not hazardous to humans and is an environmentally friendly material that is also approved for various types of food containers and drinking water containers.
During production, homogeneous sheets are welded together using a welding machine, and the staircase is also welded in using extrusion tools. The sheets that make up the pool are between 8 mm and 12 mm thick, creating a stable and durable construction.
The material in a PP pool is available in different colours, giving you the opportunity to choose the colour that suits you best.

Good insulation properties
A PP pool has good insulation properties and can withstand high temperatures. Polypropylene is an insulating plastic, and the material is fitted with 30 mm insulation on the outside. Since both sides of the pool are insulated, only 6% of the heat is lost through the pool walls and bottom. This means lower heating costs, as 94% of the heat remains in the pool. To further reduce heating costs, it is recommended to install a pool cover, as heat rises, and with the help of a pool cover, the heat stays in the water.
Many people want a warm pool to enjoy, and in that case a PP pool is perfect. This type of pool can handle temperatures above 33 degrees, and if you like the idea of taking a dip in a warm pool, then a PP pool is the right choice for you.

PGX UV Stabilization
In 2020, the manufacturer Roechling introduced a material that is even more resistant to chlorine and UV radiation than the current PG material. The new material is called PGX, which means the colour is preserved for even longer and chlorine cannot fade it as easily.
CAD Drawing for Every Customer
When an order is placed, the factory’s engineers produce detailed drawings of each part in the form of a CAD drawing, which the customer approves and can use to plan the excavation accordingly. -
Built-in steps
The steps are an important part of the pool's construction. Until 2011, the steps were supported, i.e. filled with cement beneath the steps. This outdated construction has been problematic during installation, but also in the event of subsidence and ground movement. Over the years, most manufacturers have chosen to replace them with water-filled steps instead. The pool itself is manufactured as a single water barrier, and then the steps are built into the pool. This means there is no risk of the pool leaking if subsidence should occur by the steps. Under the steps, there is water circulation directly from the sand filter, which is cleaned, and since algae do not form in the dark, you do not need to worry about the water quality under the steps. At the bottom of the steps there is an inlet, where the water then circulates out into the pool.

Which pool should you choose?
Read moreIf you want worry-free ownership, we recommend choosing a PP pool. PP pools have a long lifespan, are not affected by blistering or cracking, and are energy-efficient thanks to their high insulation capacity.
It is preferable to buy a high-quality pool when investing in a new one. Since a pool is a major investment, it is important to think the decision through carefully before deciding which type of pool and construction you want.
