What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the information shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash value) may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine whether you are registered there. The privacy policy for the Gravatar service is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be displayed publicly alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images where the EXIF data includes GPS location data. Visitors to the website can download and extract all location data from images on the website.

Cookie files
If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address, and website address in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in these details again the next time you write a comment. These cookies remain valid for one year.
If you have an account and log in to this website, we will create a temporary cookie file to check whether your browser accepts cookie files. This cookie file contains no personally identifiable information and disappears when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also create several cookies to save information about your login and your choices for the screen layout design. Login cookies are valid for two days, and layout preference cookies are valid for one year. If you tick “Remember me”, your cookie will remain for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie file will be saved in your browser. This cookie file contains no personal data and only indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It remains valid for 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this website may include embedded content (for example videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.
These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with said embedded content, including tracking your interaction with this embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to the website in question.
Analysis
Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you write a comment, the comment and its metadata will be stored indefinitely. The reason for this is that we need to be able to find and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of placing them in the moderation queue.
For users who register on your website (if any), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (with the exception that they cannot change their username). The website’s administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have written any comments on this website, you can request an export file containing the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your information
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
