Compare pool type and usable swimming area

A thermopool is built from blocks and lined with a liner. A PP pool or glasfiberpool can be delivered as a complete shell. This affects how installation and transport need to be planned. Also consider how much of the pool is taken up by stairs and a bench, especially if swimming space is important to you.

How much space is needed on the plot?

The pool’s nominal size is not the measurement for the entire project. Add space for construction, groundworks, coping, walkways, and equipment according to the drawings for the chosen model. Also plan access for delivery and any crane, as well as space for rolling up the pool cover or for the sections of the pool enclosure.

Compare what the pool packages include and read about cost factors when building a pool. Pool shell, groundworks, installation, and options need to be included in the same budget. A pool enclosure marked 3 × 6 should always be checked against the pool’s actual outer and coping dimensions.

Pool 3×6 – a smart choice for smaller gardens

A 3x6 pool is a smart choice if you want to balance price, space and straightforward installation. It takes up less room and requires a smaller investment while still providing the full pool experience.

For an affordable and practical pool, 3x6 is one of the best options.

Plan a pool in the 3 × 6 size category

A pool measuring around 3 × 6 metres should be considered together with the space around it. Beyond the water surface, you need room for coping, access, equipment and, if applicable, parking the enclosure. Mark these areas on your plot so your choice is not based solely on the pool's internal dimensions.

This category brings together different construction types and model variants. A Thermopool is built with its structural shell and liner system, while PP and fibreglass pools have different delivery and installation requirements. Check the actual dimensions and depth of your chosen model. Not every product in a size category is exactly three metres wide and six metres long.

Steps and swimming space

In a smaller pool, the position of the steps and seating bench affects how much clear space remains for bathing and swimming. Compare plan drawings and see where you enter and leave the water. Also consider whether the depth is uniform or varies. Wide steps can provide comfortable seating, but also take up part of the pool.

Read what the pool package includes: the structure or shell, internal finish, water treatment, fittings and other components may be specified differently.
