A low pool enclosure gives the pool area a sleek profile and can be slid away when you want to open up the pool. Here you will find models from, among others, NIVO and Albixon. Compare the stated height, door placement, and how the sections open to find a design that suits your garden.

Choose based on how you use the pool

If you want to swim with the enclosure left over the pool, you need to check the model’s clear internal height and access. A low profile does not automatically mean there is enough space for the way you swim. Compare with high pool enclosures if you prioritise more space under the enclosure.

Measure more than just the water surface

  • Check the pool’s external dimensions, coping, stairs, and any ladder against the enclosure’s dimension drawing.
  • Compare the minimum internal width with the maximum external width and the placement of the rails.
  • Plan space for stacked sections and any extension rails.
  • Check the base and whether the enclosure is delivered as a kit or in pre-assembled parts.

Clear plastic, multiwall polycarbonate, rail system, and openings vary between models. Therefore, read the product specification and assembly instructions for the enclosure you choose.

Low pool enclosures with a discreet design

A low pool enclosure is particularly suitable if design is a priority and you want to preserve an open feel in your garden. Despite their low height, these enclosures provide good insulation and help extend the swimming season by several months.

Modern designs make it easy to slide the sections aside, and today's rail systems mean there is very little difference in handling between low and high enclosures.

If you want a discreet enclosure that combines appearance, practicality and safety, a low pool enclosure is an excellent choice.

Differences between low pool enclosures

A low roof height is a shared feature, but models can differ in profile shape, materials, rails and module length. Here you can compare Nivo Kit, Icon, Sydney and other low-profile ranges. Start with the features that matter most for your site: unobstructed views, opening area, door position or the space needed behind the pool.

Solid clear panels and multiwall panels give different visual effects. A single rail and rails on both sides require different approaches to preparing the base. Check the drawing and specifications for your chosen version; two enclosures in the same size category may have different clear internal dimensions or different lengths when retracted.

Can you swim under a low enclosure?

This depends on the model's clear height, the pool's water level and the access arrangement. Assess the dimensions where you will actually move around and enter the water. A product image or the category name “low” is not enough to determine the available space. If standing height or more room to move is a priority, high pool enclosures may be worth comparing.

Measure the entire installation area

Measure the water surface and coping separately, and mark ladders, steps and other obstacles. Also plan where the modules will park. Extra rails may be part of the solution, but must suit both the model and the number of modules. See pool enclosure accessories for additional parts. If the site does not suit standard dimensions, made-to-measure pool enclosures are available, with the opening direction and overall dimensions specified for the project.
