Pahlén Calidi for pool heating

Here you will find Pahlén pool heat pumps in the Calidi range, including XP and VP models. They use inverter control to adjust capacity to the heating demand. The product descriptions specify titanium heat exchangers. Always compare the individual model's specifications for output, water flow, electrical connection and permitted water quality before choosing a size.

A pool heat pump must be sized for how the pool is used. Pool volume is a starting point, but the desired temperature, wind exposure, swimming season and cover also affect demand. Maintaining an already warm pool differs from heating cold water at the start of the season. Model comparisons should therefore cover both situations.

Compare models under the same conditions

Calidi XP10, XP15 and XP17 are examples of model names in the range. Check the product's output table rather than interpreting the model name as a guarantee for a particular pool size. Heating output and efficiency must be compared at the same air and water temperatures. Noise figures also need comparable measurement conditions to provide a fair basis for comparison.

Positioning and connections

Choose a position that allows airflow as specified in the installation instructions and provides drainage for condensate. Leave room to access connections and service panels. Check whether the bypass, pipe fittings and other installation materials are included or need to be added. Water flow through the heat pump must work with the pool's circulation pump, including when it runs at varying speeds.

A pool enclosure or pool cover is part of the planning because covering affects heat loss. When enquiring about a model, provide the volume, existing pump, swimming season and planned location. To compare more brands, explore the full pool heat pump category.
