Different Types of Pools

Pooltime offers two types of pools: PP Pool and Thermopool .
PP Pool is delivered as a complete tub, which makes the price of the pool itself higher, but the installation of the pool is cheaper. A PP pool is made of polypropylene, which is an environmentally friendly material also approved for the food industry, while Thermopool is a cheaper pool construction consisting of EPS polystyrene covered with a PVC liner. It takes about 1-2 weeks to build a PP Pool , and a handy customer can install it themselves. A Thermopool takes 4-6 weeks to build, and construction experience is required for a successful result.

PP Pool is similar to a fiberglass pool and is delivered in one piece as a "complete tub", and just as you can buy fiberglass pools in packages with covers, PP pool packages with covers are also offered. Unlike fiberglass pools, PP Pool consists of a homogeneous material, so the lifespan of the PP Pool is much longer. The walls of fiberglass pools are concave, meaning they slope outward. When you choose a fiberglass pool that is 3.6 m wide, you should know that fiberglass pools have an edge of about 8 cm around the pool, and then the walls slope, so the actual bottom of the fiberglass pool is no more than 2.6 m wide.

The walls of the PP pool, on the other hand, are straight, and if you buy a 3×6 m pool, the swimming area will also be 3x6 m inside.

How does it work when I buy a pool?

Once you have decided to buy a pool, you can contact us by sending an email or calling us. You provide your address, as well as the pool type and size, and any pool accessories you have in mind. Our pool experts will then send you an offer that includes the material itself and an approximate installation price. If you think the price fits your budget, we will book a free home visit where our pool expert and the contractor meet with the customer. We will then look at the pool location, choice of pool stairs, pool accessories, and advise you on what to consider. The contractor will review the costs of the pool installation, as all sites and pool installations are different. After the home visit, you will receive an updated offer. Once you have approved the pool offer, the work is scheduled, and you can relax or go on vacation, as our pool contractors can also build wooden decks and lay tiles on the terrace, so you come home to a turnkey pool installation.

Which pool is best for me?

If you have a limited budget and want the cheapest pool solution, and you work in the construction industry, Thermopool is the obvious choice. You get both the cheapest material and the cheapest installation price.

But if you choose quality material in the form of a premium pool that is good for your health, environmentally friendly, and quick to install, then PP Pool as a complete tub is a popular alternative.

What we can help with when you buy a pool

We offer pool installation as a total or partial solution. You decide whether we perform a total solution such as excavation, removal of soil, base and drainage, cast slab, filling the pool, connecting the pool and pool accessories, installing pool covers, and also building wooden decks or laying tiles on the terrace. Our contractors have extensive construction experience, ranging from pool installations to building wooden decks or laying tiles, and we are responsible for the quality of the work you receive.

Do you want a complete pool package?

Our pool packages are built from different packages, such as basic packages, comfort packages, warm packages, etc., so nothing is forgotten or missing during installation. These pool packages can be fully customized based on your needs.

The most common pool packages consist of:

• Basic package – includes purification system (pool pump/sand filter), lights, insulation, hoses, cleaning package, chemical package, connection package
• Comfort package or comfort technology – includes optional pool ladder and either cleaning robot or pump cabinet/pump room
• Warm package – contains pool cover, pool heat pump, and connections for the heat pump. Heating is something to consider in Sweden, and therefore we also offer complete pool packages with pool covers and complete pool packages with pool heat pumps to our customers.
• Automatic chlorine or salt dosing machine – includes automatic chlorine or salt dosing machine as well as 20-liter containers for pool chemicals
